Salad with Olives and Tomatoes Recipe I ate this cherry tomato salad for lunch everyday last week because I couldn’t get enough of it! Cherry tomatoes and olives (green and black!) are tossed in a simple olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing, with added crunch thanks to chopped green onions and nuts. If you like cherry tomatoes and olives, you will absolutely love this salad! I recommend chilling the salad in the refrigerator for at least an hour, up to overnight if you want to make it in advance to marinate the ingredients for full flavor....
Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Candy Irish potato candy is a favorite treat where I grew up in Pennsylvania. There used to be a candy store in the mall (remember the days that people went to malls to shop?) that sold these that I would crave every time we walked by. This Summer we planted triple the amount of tomato plants which is resulting in a whole lot of tomatoes. How many? We bought a small freezer for our garden goodies that we freeze, mostly tomato sauce. Already a few racks in the freezer are full of sauce! My goal is to go a entire year without having to buy any tomato sauce, so I’ve been stocking up! Last year I lasted until April and then I had to cave and buy a jar in the store, but I’m hoping to last until next year’s tomato season....
