Easy Pork Fried Rice Recipe

When you only have 20 minutes to make a meal to satisfy everyone at the dinner table, make this Pork Fried Rice! It’s so easy and so delicious! Why?

Filling: It’s made with rice (I use leftover rice usually!), lean pork and filled with vegetables – that makes it a filling dinner recipe! You can use white or brown rice. Easy and Fast: From start to finish, it takes less than 20 minutes to make. Clean Out the Fridge: I recommend using frozen vegetables to speed it up, but if you want to use fresh vegetables you can easily clean out your fridge and use almost anything! Budget Friendly: This meal costs around $7 to make for a family of 6.

Use Leftover Rice for Fried Rice

Leftover rice makes the best fried rice. Cold rice, straight out of the refrigerator, is the best rice to use instead of hot rice. When the rice cools down, it stops sticking together, which prevents gummy rice when making fried rice.
This is a great recipe if you have leftover rice in your refrigerator, so make sure to save this post as it’s become a staple in our dinner menu! We love this dish so much that I will throw rice in the rice cooker the night before, cook it and then store it in the fridge until the next day – just to make this fried rice!

Make Chicken Fried Rice Instead

You can easily swap whatever meat you have (or even no meat) to make this fried rice. Here’s some easy recipe substitutions if you don’t want to use pork:

Chicken Shrimp Salmon – I love oven baked salmon. Steak Ground Meat – chicken, pork beef Tofu or just use extra veggies!

Step by Step Directions

Fry pork, green onion and frozen vegetables in a large skillet with sesame oil. You can use any type of pork you want, although I think boneless pork loin works best! You can even use leftover pork if you’d like if you have a bunch left over from a big dinner. Remove pork and veggies and quickly scramble a couple eggs. Add pork, vegetables and rice back into the skillet. Add soy sauce, garlic powder and ground ginger. And continue cooking until rice is fully heated up. Serve and enjoy!

How To Store

Store leftover fried rice in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Heat either in the microwave or in a skillet over medium heat.
